Guiding students through concepts that they have difficulty with. Directly explaining concepts is avoided, instead, questions are crafted to stimulate the student’s memory and resourcefulness. Asking the student; what is the problem asking for? What information do you have? How are you going to get the solution? These questions encourage the student to think on their own. Maintained a confident, positive attitude so that the customer was comfortable entrusting me with their vehicle. Clear and friendly communication with customers helped to eliminate confusion and answer any questions that a customer had. Enthusiastic greetings helped the customer better remember who parked their vehicle. Technical aspects were organizing the vehicles in the lot to promote efficiency of time and space, caretaking of the vehicles from theft or damage and balancing cash receipts at the end of the shift.
Leadership and Service
Boy Scouts of America 03/99-03/10
Attained the Rank of Life Scout. Was elected Patrol Leader after my first year as a scout, serving two consecutive six month terms. As a patrol leader, I would lead patrol meetings and organize my eight member patrol during troop meetings. During Patrol Leader Councils, I would represent the interests of my patrol during the planning of troop activities. Later in my scouting career, I campaigned and was elected Senior Patrol Leader of my troop of 40 boys. I would plan and run troop meetings, as well as the Patrol Leader Councils. During this time, I attended a week-long leadership training, where I was elected Senior Patrol Leader by my fellow leaders in training.
